Imam Yusuf Badat of Islamic Foundation Masjid, Nugget, Scarborough, Toronto, decreed a fatwa on Pink Day (February 28) justifying and encouraging Muslims to wear pink shirts that day; however, he himself didn’t show up in the Masjid in pink on Pink Day. Neither his Qur’an students nor teachers of Islamic Foundation wore pink.
Syed Jawed Anwar ONTARIO Liberal Party under Kathleen Wynne’s leadership has been defeated badly in June 2018 Ontario Legislative Assembly election. She grabbed only seven out of 124 seats of the assembly. Progressive Conservative (PC) got 76 seats and formed majority government. She resigned from the party leadership, and this is the end of her era. Wynne’s political activism starts when she changed her lifestyle.
By Syed Abul A'ala Maududi WE Muslims call Prophet Muhammadï·º Sarwar-e-Alam, which means Ù€ "Leader of the World." In Urdu it is “Duniya ka Sardarâ€. In Hindi it's “Jagat Guruâ€. Although this title is a great honour, compared to his personality and achievements, the title still does not cover the great honour he deserves.
By Yvonne Ridley WHILE orchestrating genocide against Jewish people, Heinrich Himmler would write home to his wife Margarete and daughter Gudrun portraying his day working for the Nazi regime during World War II as rather unremarkable and quite mundane.
Syed Jawed Anwar IF you watched the last two debates of Progressive Conservative (PC) Ontario and if you consider yourself an interviewer for the job of Premiership of Ontario, I believe no one will have any choice other than Doug Ford. You will find him ready and qualified for Premiership. Furthermore, he is the only one in the race who can defeat Kathleen Wynne.

By Yvonne Ridley I am really frustrated by the way Middle East despots and dictators trash human rights, commit war crimes and genocide while the rest of the largely male-dominated governments signed up to the United Nations look the other way.
Syed Jawed Anwar Islamic Foundation School, Nugget, Scarborough, was unionized last year. The result is that the high school has been closed and the elementary school (KG to 8) is struggling to exist. The Islamic Institute of Toronto Academy, Islamic Elementary School, was unionized last year. Now they are now barely making it.
By Yvonne Ridley Calls to compensate the descendants of Britain's vile slave trade are always dismissed by Establishment figures as being too impractical but there are families in the UK who are still benefitting today from the slave economy.
Syed Jawed Anwar If you have concern with radical s-x education in public schools and gender killer education system developed by anti-generation anti human liberal ideologists, Doug Ford is your guy.
By Syed Jawed Anwar We organized various seminars on the effect of Bill 13 in 2012-2013 in Thorncliffe Park Drive, Toronto and Mississauga. When Phil Lees of PEACE Education Services unfolded Bill 13 and Bill 33, everyone in the hall was stunned and shocked. All were listening and watching his presentation by holding their breath.
Yvonne Ridley IT IS becoming increasingly clear that the view from this side of the Atlantic is quite different to what most Americans see but despite our differences - let's not go into the US destruction of our common language! - we remain in a special relationship, good friends and strong allies.
By Yvonne Ridley I WAS determined not to write about the American president in this column but Donald Trump keeps saying and doing things which make it impossible to ignore, like some needy, spoiled brat that demands the attention of those around him.
By Yvonne Ridley I AM now home from Cox’s Bazar on the `Bangladesh-Myanmar border and appreciate my surrounds like never before. I am sitting here in the secure knowledge that no one is going to threaten or drive me and my family from our home. It makes me feel warm and safe but it also makes me feel sad because it is a feeling that is denied to the Rohingya people.
By Yvonne Ridley WELL my dear American brothers and sisters, another year is drawing to a close and it is only natural we look back on the last 12 months before we go charging in to 2018 with renewed vigor and hope.
