We were expecting a favourable response from our Christian brothers and sisters on principles and policies of the Islamic Party of Ontario (Islamic Ontario); but, unfortunately, that did not happen. However, few of them did send positive messages and tried to understand us. We appreciate and give high regard to them.

Religious Christians --both Protestants and Catholics-- and all Christian denominations know (or should know) the teachings of Jesus (peace be upon him). Does anything in the policy of Islamic Ontario contradict the Bible?

If you understand the Quran, and you are a true truth seeker, you will find the Qur’an to be like a lost treasure as it is the latest edition of the Bible.

Before addressing the arguments and allegations, I will ask one question of those Christian brothers and sisters who used profane and hateful language and spread lies and connected dots that don’t belong to us and threatened us. Does that kind of hate and bigotry comply with the teachings of Jesus (peace be upon him)? Do you really follow the teachings of Jesus, which are love and mercy for your neighbours?

1. You say that our Allah is different from your God. What is your argument? We say the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of this world is Allah (One and only one God), and you say it, God. What is the difference? Is there any revealed Scripture (in its original language) in the world that uses the word God?   The earliest that the word God was used in writing was in the sixth century. It was derived from the Proto-Germanic word gudan, based on the root ghau, which means ‘to call’ or ‘to invoke’.  The word God does not appear in the original language of any revealed Scripture. Jesus (peace upon him) spoke Aramaic.  This is clear in the King James Version where he addresses “My God”:  “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” (Matthew 27: 46, KJV). The Aramaic word for God in the language of Assyrian Christians is ʼĔlāhā or Alaha. Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word Allah to mean God. The Christian Arabs of today have no other word for God than Allah.  There is no difference between God and Allah in usage.  Do you say the Jews worship a different God because they address Him as “Eloah” or “Adonai” or “El Shaddai” in Hebrew?
2. You say that Jesus is God. We Muslims seek refuge in God from saying that because, in Islam, the Oneness of God cannot be compromised. Jesus never claimed that He is God. The Bible (any true version of the Bible) doesn’t prove that Jesus declared himself to be God. That is only the Church’s interpretation of what he said.  We Muslims interpret it correctly.  The Qur’an explains that Jesus (peace be upon him) is “a spirit emanating from God” but not the incarnation of God. 
3. You say that he is the Son of God. We seek refuge in God from saying that Jesus (peace upon him) is the literal Son of God although we do believe Jesus (peace be upon him) is God’s Word breathed into the womb of the Virgin Mary (peace be upon her). We believe that he is one of the mightiest Messengers of Allah; we believe that he was Messiah. We believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) was born miraculously without father as Adam (peace be upon him) was also born miraculously without father and mother, just as explained in the Bible (1 Corinthians 15: 45-49). We believe that he has been given several miracles include healing power by God. We believe that he was sent to implement commandments (Shariah) of God in both private and public life. And that was the reason the Roman ruling power of the time and their agents in his own nation, sons of Israel, went against him. We declare:

    Say: “He is Allah, the One and Unique; Allah, Who is in need of none and of Whom all are in            need; He neither begot any nor was He begotten, and none is comparable to Him.” (Quran: 112)

We believe the Quran (the message and words of God in Arabic) and Sunnah (the message of God in the words and actions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). These are the latest and last divine source of guidance. You can say it is the latest edition of the Bible.

If our Christian brothers and sisters don’t agree on it, we ask them to bring your own Bible Sharia to implement it in public life.

Note: The word Sharia has a much larger and different meaning as it is understood by most of the non-Muslims (and Muslims). Sharia leads to the path of the destination of survival. It encompasses all spheres of life.  

The law of this universe is “mercy,” and the principle is “goodness.” All the things of the earth, sky, and in between are strictly following this rule except Jinn and human beings. Sharia controls those desires of human beings that conflict with the law of mercy and the principle of goodness.  If we will not fulfill our responsibility, God’s wrath in this world and hereafter is inevitable.

Christian brothers and sisters! Please bring your Sharia of the Bible on all the evils of the society we mentioned in our Policy.
