Parents, Act Now: This Weekend's PC Policy Conference – Reach Out to Your PC MPPs

By Jawed Anwar

Dear Parents,

The Ontario PC Party Policy Conference is happening this weekend, from Friday, February 2 to Saturday, in Niagara Falls. Now is the perfect time to reach out to your PC MPPs and express your concerns as parents regarding public schooling.

While rallies, parades, protests, seminars, and conferences play important roles in creating awareness and putting pressure on the government, it's equally crucial to directly communicate with your representatives who shape laws in the assembly.

Unfortunately, parents' voices often go unheard in the government due to the influence of an organized minority with special interests. Changing the public education system, especially in alignment with the values held by the majority of parents who believe in traditional family and religious values, seems challenging.

However, there is a specific aspect that can be addressed – the removal of sex and gender education from the school curriculum. Here's what you can ask your MPP:

1. Remove Sex and Gender Education:

Request your MPP to eliminate sex and gender education from schools. Suggest that schools focus solely on academic subjects such as Math, Science, and Language. The primary responsibility for gender and sex education should rest with parents and religious teachers. By doing this, the government can save a considerable amount of money by removing this aspect of education from public schools.

2. Education Vouchers Policy:

Advocate for a policy that allocates education vouchers (it is your tax money) to parents. This way, parents can have the flexibility to manage their children's education according to their preferences, whether through private schooling, home schooling, or other options.

Your engagement and communication with your MPP can make a significant impact. Let your voice be heard on these crucial matters affecting the education of your children.

Schools should focus on education, rather than diverting them towards sex innovations.
